Sagot :
Je corrige ton texte et j'ai modifié des passages où il y avait des maladresses et des répétitions.
I would first begin by defining what an odd couple is. That notion refers to a relationship (romantic or not) or a love affair involving two persons who are completely different from each other and who will never get along under other circumstances. Their mood, character or temper are opposite: one of them may be outgoing and the other one is introvert although there are normally several distinct differences between the two partners to have the term "odd couple" used to describe a specific relationship.
[...]
And finally ,an relevant document, a picture, of the couple Timon and Pumba in «The king Lion », a cartoon.
Now that we defined the term of 'odd couple', we can ask the following question: Can birds of a different feather flock together?
Well, i will introduce different extracts studied during the class and a relevant document chosen by myself related to the topic.
Texte 1
Firstly, I will speak about the first extract « Timbuktu » by Paul Auster published in 1999. The novel tells the story of a funny couple, a friendship between a dog and a man. Thus, two characters are present in this extract: Willy G, a failed poet, and Mr. Bones, a dog who feels like a stranger in the world of men. Two completely different characters by their kind and yet very strong friendship develops between them. This story is our topic because is a friendship between a simple dog and a man. This text proves the relevance of our problem.
TEXTE 2:
The second extract is “Of mice and men” written by John Steinbeck and published in 1937. This book tells the story of two men, the protagonists : George Milton and Lennie Small. They are migrants working on ranches in California. In this extract, they are in a campfire. Lennie provides the real driving force behind the dream and being his beeper gives george the role and direction in life. They are very different.
This novel is a good example of what an odd couple is since it is about a friendship between two men very different by their personality.
TEXTE 3
The third text is “Black girl, White girl” by Joyce Carol Oates published in 2006. This book is about of two girls, Minette and Genna. They are an odd couple because their relationship is based on proximity and distance. They share the same room, spend good time together even though some distance between them is created. A lack of understanding - “I felt clumsy”. So Genna is often left with many questions and own to interpret Minette’s reactions. This exemplified by the series of questions. She also resort with many conditional sentences along the text. This all this stressed that for Gennna, nothing is certain or clearly stated for their relationship. This is another example of an odd couple because it tells the friendship of a black girl and a white girl.
DOCUMENT COMPLEMENTAIRE :
My relevant document is a picture of the Walt Disney cartoon “The Lion King”. This cartoon was released in 1994. The two characters in this picture is Timon and Pumbaa.Timon is a meerkat, a small specy of mongoose, carnivorous mammal living in South Africa. It is a smart, unpredictable and stealth. He is the best friend of Pumbaa, a jovial and rather simple-minded warthog which is willing to do anything but good for nothing. It is always there when you need it, but it is also when we are with him. In endless, lively and optimizing energy, they have the motto "Hakuna matata" which means "Live your life without any worries." They are different by their physical aspect and characters. That's the reason why I chose this picture for my relevant document because it is relevance with the topic “The odd couple”.
