The South African teenagers are comparing their parents' life under apartheid with
the situation today. Unlike their parents, young South Africans didn't experience
apartheid. But opinions are divided. On the one hand, some teenagers explain that
their parents used to suffer from discrimination under apartheid : they were
discriminated against because of their colour. For example, they were not able to do
the job they wanted. But now, their life has changed, their life has improved. On the
other hand, some haven't seen any improvement in their lives as they are still poor.
Others explain that the situation has remained the same.
